Justice League Movie

The one character getting a solo movie that doesn't appear in the initial New 5. Shazam, but more on him in a second. Biggest Workout Fails (BTS) on this page. Here's the Justice League lineup as we see it. Batman. If you don't know who Batman is, then what's the matter with you?

After seeing his parents get murdered when he was only a child, Bruce Wayne grew into a man tortured by that memory and dedicated himself to fighting crime so no one else has to suffer like he did. He has no super powers, but instead relies on his keen mind, physical prowess, and many bat- themed gadgets. From what we know about his first movie appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, this Batman will have been operating for a long time and be much like the rough version seen in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns comic book. Batman will be played by Ben Affleck in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League Part One & Two, and the Batman solo movie that's likely to happen.

Superman. If you saw Man of Steel, then that's all you need to know about this version of Superman. Kal- El is an alien from Krypton sent to Earth as a baby and raised by two loving parents on a farm in Kansas. He gained insight about his alien origins from a recording of his true father Jor- El, learned to fly, and put on his sleek new suit and cape. That's when an evil military general from Krypton named Zod showed up. Zod wanted wanted to terraform Earth into a new Krypton, so Superman stood up to him, defending Earth and becoming a beacon of hope to its people. Most of Metropolis was destroyed in the process.

Superman's powers include super speed, flight, invulnerability, super strength, and heat vision. Of all of his signature powers, he didn't use his freeze breath in Man of Steel - - gotta save something for the sequel, right? Superman was played by Henry Cavill in Man of Steel, and he will reprise his role in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League Part One & Two, and the Superman solo movie that's likely to happen. Wonder Woman. The daughter of Amazon Queen Hippolyta and god Zeus, Wonder Woman is a demigod with powers of flight and super strength on par with Superman. Her signature weapons include her magical Lasso of Truth, a tiara that can be thrown Xena- style, bracers capable of deflecting bullets, and a sword for stabbing people. Wonder Woman will be played by Gal Gadot in her solo movie, Justice League Part One & Two, and will have a cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Aquaman. Arthur Curry is a man of two worlds. He has an Atlantean father and a human mother, which often has him pulled between his duties as King of Atlantis and his loyalty to the people who raised him. He can breathe underwater, command sea creatures with a thought, and swim at extraordinary speeds. And as director Zack Snyder pointed out, he lives in the crushing depths of the ocean, which means he has super strength that could allow him to cut Superman with that trident of his. Aquaman will be played by Jason Mamoa (you might know him as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones) in his solo movie, Justice League Part One & Two, and is rumored to have a cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Flash. After Barry Allen got caught in a freak lab accident where he was struck by lightning and fell into a rack of chemicals, he wound up with the power of super speed. As the fastest man alive (even faster than Superman!), he can not only run fast enough to dodge bullets and save people from imminent death, but he can also vibrate through walls, create intense winds by swirling his arms, and has been known to time travel on more than one occasion.

A couple other characters have held the mantle of the Flash over the years - - Jay Garrick, Bart Allen, Wally West - - but if DC stays true to their New 5. Justice League comic book, then it will be Barry who appears on the big screen. Interestingly, The Flash TV show just debuted last week on The CW network starring Grant Gustin as Barry.

But with a Flash movie being announced with a different actor, it's clear that the TV and movie DC Universes will be completely separate. So we could have a TV and movie Flash operating at the same time, played by two different actors. Ezra Miller will play Flash in his solo movie, Justice League Part One & Two, and is rumored to have a cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Green Lantern. Chosen for his incredible willpower that allows him to overcome great fear, Hal Jordan is a member of the Green Lantern Corps. Think of them as space police with glowing green uniforms. Green Lanterns wield rings that allow them to create anything they can imagine out of pure green energy.

This includes shields, guns, and - - a Hal Jordan favorite - - boxing gloves. Much like Flash, several characters have been Green Lantern. Currently there are five: Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, and Simon Baz. We are leaning towards Hal Jordan as the choice for the new movie because he was on the New 5.

Justice League. DC Comics used the New 5. Hal Jordan in order to remain consistent. That said, it's impossible to forget the box office stinker that was Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Comic book fans know Green Lantern to be one of the best characters around thanks to Geoff Johns' complete overhaul of the character's mythology and Star Wars- like treatment of his stories, but general audiences will associate the hero with that poorly- received movie. Because Hal Jordan left a bad taste in people's mouths, it might be wise for Warner Bros. The popular choice is John Stewart, a black character made popular thanks to his excellent treatment in the Justice League cartoon.

There's currently no word on when Green Lantern will appear on the big screen save for his solo movie in 2. Cyborg. Cyborg's New 5. His scientist father saves his life by turning him into a cyborg, giving him tons of cool gadgets and weapons, not to mention instant access to the world's information network. He also acquires the ability to teleport, allowing him to instantly bring the Justice League to wherever the danger is. Probably the least known character on this list, Cyborg is notable for a few reasons. He was originally a member of the Teen Titans, but he was made a founding member of the New 5. Justice League. He's a black hero starring in his own movie, which is something rival Marvel Studios has yet to make happen.

And while Brainiac is the rumored villain for the Justice League movie, Cyborg's New 5. Darkseid, so that could be a clue as to where DC's movies are leading to.

Ray Fisher will play Cyborg in his solo movie, Justice League Part One & Two, and will have a cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Shazam. A young boy named Billy Batson was granted fantastic power by the wizard Shazam, and when he shouts out his name - - .

He's pretty much Superman but with magic. In order to make him look a little different from Superman, Shazam's New 5. While not a founding member of the New 5. Justice League, Shazam's origin story was told over time as a backup story inside the Justice League comic. Once he was established, he joined the Justice League, becoming good pals with Cyborg. Because there's not even been a rumor that Shazam will play a part in the Justice League movies, it's hard to say if he will ever join the movie team.

However, given that he is a member of the current Justice League in the comics, plus that his solo film was announced alongside all of these other heroes who will be in the Justice League franchise, it's hard to imagine he won't play a part. While Shazam has yet to be cast, we do know that his arch nemesis Black Adam will be played by Dwayne . American Satan.

Black Adam is an anti- hero in the comics, so he has potential to also play a part in the Justice League movies. That's just a guess, but hey, anything could happen. That's our best bet for the Justice League movie lineup. What do you think of the character choices? Let us know in the comments!
